Pattern Exhaustion in Turkey

Rick and went to Turkey in July...fabulous things to see, much to absorb. I wrote about the mix of visuals for a post in Art & Seek...the cool website for KERA TV, Dallas. Here is a link to that essay, which has a slide show of details found in Istanbul, Cappadocia, Antayla, Bursa, Ephesus, etc. . http://www.artandseek.net/2010/00/02/north-texas-artists-in-turkey-ginger-geyer-on-pattern-overload

Also see this dreamy video that Rick made of the whirling dervishes:

I am eager to make a big porcelain vacuum cleaner for a mosque...and found a good model in a junk store in Leakey, TX. A beautiful Turkish carpet will be morphed onto the bag, from sucking up the residue of prayer.
